Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Class B General Contractor to support a growing portfolio of commercial solar, battery energy storage (BESS), and EV charging infrastructure projects. This position is based out of a Laguna Niguel office and combines preconstruction and RFP support, project coordination, field supervision, and hands-on general construction. Key responsibilities include assisting with RFPs and bid opportunities, conducting site walks and developing project scopes, overseeing commercial solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging installations from site preparation through completion, excavation, trenching, and grading, forming and pouring concrete equipment pads and foundations, coordinating underground conduit pathways, and overseeing subcontractors for quality, schedule, safety, and budget. Frequent travel throughout California, Nevada, and Oregon is required, with overnight and multi-day stays based on project needs.

Qualifications

  • California Class B General Building Contractor license strongly preferred
  • Located in Orange County or the surrounding area, with the ability to regularly report to the Laguna Niguel office
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout California, Nevada, and Oregon, including overnight and multi-day travel
  • Commercial construction or general contracting experience required
  • Experience with solar, battery storage, EV charging, electrical infrastructure, or utility-related construction is highly desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of concrete, excavation, trenching, underground utilities, and equipment foundations
  • Experience with estimating, bidding, RFP responses, subcontractor management, and project coordination preferred
